Newly renovated in 2013, the Shoreline Waikiki is a trendy retro-styled property that would look quite at home on Miami Beach. The bright white facade conceals a tropical color palette, and all guests are welcomed with a traditional lei flower garland. It’s not right on the oceanfront, but otherwise the location is pretty close to perfect — the beach is only a five-minute walk away (guests can borrow beach towels from the front desk), and it’s known for its top-quality surfing.
