It’s Hurricane Season

I have 2 rules for traveling during Hurricane Season.

1. Always get travel insurance! The money you spend on travel insurance will be nothing compared the money you could lose if there is a hurricane. Most airlines and hotels do not refund because of weather, please keep that in mind.

2. Book directly with the airline or hotel. I know it seems like you are saving money if you book a bundle deal with a third-party but most major airlines are more willing to work with you if you book direct. Some major hotels may even transfer a night if you get stuck somewhere.

Trust me, even if you don’t think your travel plans will be affected it doesn’t hurt to plan ahead!
