I had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Austin, Texas a couple of weeks ago for a business trip and it was amazing. It’s located in the heart of downtown minutes from popular attractions like river activities, 6th street and Rainey street. When I first walked into my room, I instantly felt relaxed. The cool, calm colors splashed on the walls set the mood. I enjoyed the modern decor and cozy king-sized bed. After working a 12-hour shift the night before plus enduring a 8-hour conference day, winding down in a neutral room alone with a lakeside view put the icing on the cake. The front desk was amazing, they pulled my reservation up immediately after just giving them my first and last name. The whole process lasted less than 5 minutes. The employee insured me that I had a great room with a stupendous view and he was right. My view was exhilarating- it overlooked the Lady River Lake and downtown Austin. The next day I woke up with extreme pain not knowing how I was going to get my one luggage down to the lobby for check out. As I was getting ready to call the front desk, the housekeeper opened the door accidentally not knowing that I was in need of her assistance. She knew something was wrong and wanted to help immediately. I told her that I couldn’t bend down because of my back and she immediately render her service of carrying my luggage downstairs. I quickly decline because I didn’t want to get her in trouble, but she insisted and I really appreciated her generosity that day. It really showed that hospitality and customer satisfaction was one of their main focus. Other than having a painful back, my stay at the Hyatt Regency was superb. It is the perfect place to stay for a business trip, especially if you want to be close to all of the restaurants and main attractions. I didn’t have a chance to enjoy their savories from their two restaurants, but I was told from my colleagues that their dining experience was incredible!
