I recently visited to Las Vegas to celebrate my brother’s 21st birthday and because the weather was in the 40s I couldn’t do my typical strip stroll.  I actually wouldn’t advise visiting Las Vegas in the winter because it gets so cold there and most of the activities are outside, unless you are really into gambling or shows, but it was my brother’s birthday and I was determined to make the best of it.  After doing a little research… I found The Mob Museum in Downtown Las Vegas and wanted to check it out.

The Mob Museum, The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit dedicated to the history of organized crime and law enforcement. It was very interesting, I’m not really into the Mob lifestyle, but I really enjoyed the museum and the glimpse of history.  I’ve told everyone about it and would go back and visit again.  It’s 3 levels and very detailed.

The Mob Museum provides a world-class, interactive journey through true stories. From the birth of the Mob, to today’s headlines. Shadows and whispers. G-Men and Made Men. Whether you like it or not, this is American history. This eye-opening, authentic view of organized crime’s impact on the world reveals an insider’s look at the events and characters of the continuing battle between the Mob and the law.

Real stories are brought to life with engaging, multi-sensory exhibits and unparalleled insights from those on the front lines of both sides of the battle. The Mob Museum offers a provocative, contemporary look at this fascinating topic through hundreds of artifacts and immersive storylines. We bring Mob stories to life so completely, you’ll feel like you’re part of them.

If you are visiting Las Vegas, you should definitely look at adding this stop to your list of things to do.
