City of Brotherly Love I recently visited Philadelphia for the 20th time… But had a completely different experience. That’s the best thing about traveling without having every day planned out, you have room to experience the city in different ways. I had no idea how full of history Philly is and how easy it was to visit the all the historic sites. I stayed in the Marriott Downtown and there is a double decker tour bus that stops right in front of the hotel. The cost is $30 but there are 27 stops and it’s worth the money. They run until 5 pm, so even if you get off at one stop you will be picked up 30 – 45 minutes later to continue on to the next stop. Here are a few of my faves from the day! Favorite Food Stop: Karen Parker Soul Food Cafe (bring cash, they don’t accept credit cards but the fried chicken made up for the inconvenience. Favorite Museum: The Liberty Bell (I really learned a lot of things that I didn’t know plus it’s free) Favorite Stop on the Tour: The Rocky Statue (there was a kind of people waiting to take a picture with the Italian Stallion… Who can resist) Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Related Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.CommentName* Email* Website CAPTCHA Code * Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
