Summer travel season is fast approaching, here are a few tips that can help you save!

1. Avoid peak summer travel! Places like Puerto Rico are beautiful all year, don’t go in the summer prices will be sky high!

2. Look into low-season destinations. Check out some of the not-as-popular summer destinations that still offer great activities and good weather. Since thousands of tourists won’t be flocking to those locations, prices for hotels, transportation, and everyday activities will be lower. Plus, crowds will be much smaller.

3. Use a flexible search to find better deals. Try travel days like Tuesday and Wednesday, they can be up to $100 cheaper than leaving on a Thursday. When you search on Delta, United and American you can check the flexible search box.

4. Check out options with frequent flyer miles!!! Always save your miles for the summer! If the flights are a little higher but you get the room for free using miles its a win-win! Chase Mileage Plus card is my personal favorite!

5. Do your research before booking an air + hotel package. Typically they aren’t cheaper. Give yourself enough time to plan a great vacation.
