Sacramento’s Historic Waterfront Whenever I’m in Sacramento one of my favorite places to visit is Old Sacramento, and it’s not just to get my sweet fix at Candy Heaven, Candy Barrel or Candy Land. Old Sacramento is history on the move, from river boats to railroad excursions to horse drawn carriages, there is something for everyone to do. The Antique & Jewelry shops are perfect for Vintage pieces, an underground tasting room that’s pretty unique and a few good restaurants that overlook the Sacramento River.
