Traveling, can and is highly compromising wether it’s for business or pleasure.   Having to adjust time zone change can be slightly difficult but definitely doable.

I personally do a lot of international travel.  Can you imagine going 6-14 hours forward/backwards?  It’s a whole different day at times.  As exciting as it is to see the world and experience new places it’s exhausting.  Rearranging your life and schedule is a huge task, complete change of routine.

Stay on track!

  • Stay Committed
  • Plan your meals
  • Workout

Commitment

Make a promise to yourself that you will remain consistent and committed with a workout and “diet” routine.  All you need is one hour.  Waking up early or staying up late might have to be an option.

Time Management is major in so many aspects of your life.  Set alarms, write down your schedule, set it up on your calendar anything to remind you when to workout, eat, and SLEEP.

Plan your meals

I personally make a mental map of how many days I will be gone, making a mental note of how many meals and snacks I will need for each day.  I travel for more then two weeks at a times.  YES! I pack food for the two weeks.  Insane, I know.  Keeping in mind that hotel food might not be so healthy and expensive. (I do this for vacations as well).  Sometimes hotels do not have fridges in that case I have to keep ice inside my isolated lunch bag at all times.

Skipping meals or downing unhealthy airport or hotel food is NOT an option for me.  Once you have this down as a lifestyle it becomes “easy”.   Zip lock bags and lunch bags are part of my life.

No, I’m not perfect I do indulge in “cheat meals”. But I make sure I work extra hard that day or the next day and put those extra carbs to good use.

Workout

Finding a gym with good equipment can be very difficult specially overseas.  There’s times were my hotel doesn’t have a gym or the town that I’m staying at has a local gym but charges so much money for just one day.

Wait,  don’t give up just yet!  You’ve got your body, body weight exercise!  There’s so many really effective workouts that you can do without equipment.

I have a story.

I am were I am mentally because of it.

Be willing!

Be unstoppable!

Powerful!

Dedicated!

Consistent!
