Snapshot: Rio I went to Rio for the first time earlier this month… it was an amazing experience. I landed around 10 am and it took us 2 hours to the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Resort because the traffic was crazy! I’m happy our van had a restroom and I was able to get a nap in before hitting the streets of Rio. Although I’d been up all night I went right out… I always recommend not waisting your day by trying to catch up on sleep because it won’t happen. We first walked to the grocery store and then took the city bus to Copacabana Beach. Surprisingly the city bus was very easy to navigate… No issues and the bus drivers spoke enough english to understand where we needed to go. I would recommend having a pocket translator or a translator app because majority of the waitresses didn’t have any english speaking employees. I enjoyed the restaurants we tried, but the best food was from the street vendors – it’s a little weird because they jump on the bus and then jump off but the food is really good. My favorite part of the entire trip was the hotel. The Sheraton Grand had everything! 3 different restaurant, gift shop, spa, gym, tennis court, 2 pools, beach area and stunning views! I’ve already planned my next trip back. Here are some exclusive pics!
